This book was birthed out of the Asbury Outpouring. In February 2023, a routine chapel service at Asbury University evolved into a remarkable experience of continuous prayer and worship that drew close to 100,000 people from across the globe. The impact of this moment continues to resonate today.
You Were made to Pray for Others offers clear insights into how we can pray for others. The principles and practices of this ministry came out of this extraordinary move of God. Through personal experience, research, and firsthand accounts, this book provides a roadmap for those seeking to cultivate authentic prayer and God’s presence. Bud equipped more than 800 people to pray for others during the Outpouring and he unpacks these lessons in an accessible way. You can use these principles in your personal, community, and church life to deepen your practice of praying for others. You will learn to cultivate prayer so that it becomes an experience of the Holy Spirit’s presence.
Meet the Author
Bud Simon
Bud Simon has a PhD from Asbury Theological Seminary and is a doctoral mentor at Global Awakening Theological Seminary. He speaks, writes, and teaches on prayer & prayer ministry that flows from his personal renewal and mission experiences. During the 2023 Asbury Outpouring, he trained hundreds of people for altar ministry and supervised the ministry team. He spent twenty years as a missionary in Brazil where he helped grow faith communities and mentored church leaders.
