Power + Goodness: Balancing Supernatural Power with Compassion

Acts 10:38 sums up Jesus’ resume: doing good and healing all. Supernatural power without compassion intimidates; compassion without power disappoints. A healthy healing ministry marries both.

Pursue miracles boldly-expect gout, migraines, and trauma to bow. Then tether that power to radical goodness. Barna’s 2022 Generosity Report shows people are 54% more likely to deem miracles authentic when practical help follows prayer. Drive someone to a follow-up appointment, deliver meals during recovery, or connect them with counselors.

Purify motives regularly. Ask, “Would I pray this passionately if nobody posted it online?” That question sifts ambition from love. Guard confidentiality; testimonies belong to recipients. Share only with permission, celebrating both partial and complete victories.

When people encounter supernatural power wrapped in everyday kindness, skepticism melts. They discover a God who heals and cares deeply, and that revelation births lasting transformation far beyond the altar call.
